Richard Morton

By day, Richard Morton works as a network administrator for the Pottsville School District, and on the side, he teaches drum lessons, drawing from over 32 years of drumming experience and his time in high school band. Richard focuses on drum set and marching snare, and aims to create a supportive, structured environment that gives students a solid foundation to grow creatively.

He passionate about helping others develop their talent and express themselves through music. He grew up on ’90s and 2000s rock, but he enjoys a wide range of genres. Playing in worship team bands taught him how to collaborate with different musicians and adapt to various styles—something he brings into his lessons.

When he’s not teaching or playing, you’ll usually see him practicing, studying other drummers, or diving into anything tech-related. He is also a dog person with three pups at home, loves sports cars, and enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
