Roman Gonzalez

Roman Gonzalez, a dedicated musician/music educator, is currently pursuing a degree in music education from Arkansas Tech University. With a strong background in performance/music education, Roman specializes in piano, saxophone, bass, guitar and music theory creating an engaging and mind opening environment for students.

He is passionate about inspiring others, creative expression and draws inspiration from the greats of jazz music like Bill Evans, Cannonball Adderley, Oscar Peterson, and Errol garner. Roman’s experiences, including volunteer playing at churches, playing in contemporary music groups, and participating in state wide music competitions in jazz and classical have shaped a unique approach to music education that values patience with people, musical individuality, and a good relationship between the student and teacher.

Outside of the classroom, Roman enjoys sharing his music on his TikTok page “mistfulplays” and finds joy in traveling to places with different culture, hiking/outdoor activities, and spending time with friends and family. His mission is to impact young students the same way he was impacted by his teachers and to spark their curiosity to create a wild fire of learning throughout their life.
